We are committed to providing high quality affordable accommodation for the comfort of our guests. We are also striving to make our business as environmentally friendly as we can.
This means minimising any negative impact our business may have on the environment.
Examples of what we do are as follows:
Reducing our consumption of non-renewable energy sources. e.g.. using low energy light bulbs, insulating the building home
Re-using whenever possible. e.g. composting, using wood and paper for fires
Recycling as much as possible. e.g.. glass, paper, cardboard, metals, plastics and textiles
Ethical and Fair trade shopping e.g.. all our coffee and tea is from fair-trade sources.
Eco-friendly products are used where possible. e.g.. cleaning products - toilet cleaners, washing powders, non-aerosols
Promoting the use of public transport is encouraged by providing up to date timetables
Encouraging exploration of the area by providing information about local cycle and walking routes, cycle hire, pony trekking
Providing wildlife habitats in our own garden eg. pond and wildlife area
Encouraging guests to look out for local wildlife eg. providing local information, binoculars.
